Mint + Ivory + Gold Wedding Invitation

mint ivory gold wedding invitation inspiration
DIY Vintage Teacup Candle Tutorial

Mint happened to be one of my favorite colors at the moment. In fact, I'm obsessed with mint, both flavor and color. So, how could it be possible for me to do nothing after seeing this pretty image?

No, I didn't make any candle with mint flavor. Well, not until I get the right cup and the ingredients. I have another plan for these lovely colors. Something to do with paper, of course ;)

By the way, you should really click on the link at the bottom of the image. It's a step by step tutorial posted by Everything Fabulous. It sounds like a really fun project.

Romantic & Rustic Wedding Invitation

Here's my latest design for wedding invitation. It has a combination of romantic, soft, elegant and modern. Like many of my other creations, it's mainly made of recycled Kraft paper and paper lace doily.

DIY Escort Card / Hang Tags with Masking Tape

Here's a little DIY idea for crafty brides out there. It's super easy and fast to put together, hope this comes in handy, especially if you are having a rustic/ shabby chic/ southern wedding.

All you need are:
+ tags (pre-made or made of cardstock)
+ masking tape/ fabric tape
+ thread/ ribbon
+ single hole punch
+ pair of scissors

I used hang tag die cut with scalloped top punched out of heavy Kraft paper. You can also use any pre-made tags or cut a simple tag shape from any cardstock with color of your choice.
And I was using this masking sticker set.

Doodly Flyday - I

It's flyday Friday..! Getting into your weekend mood yet? I call mine "pre-weekend mood"..
I just took a little break from work and had a quick sketch.
Seeing quite a few of my friends getting married the past few months (and several more within the following months). Plus, my lovely customers I've been working with to create their wedding invitation and reception stationery. I was quite inspired.

Doily, doiley or doilie?

Which one is it, actually?

If you have read my previous post about cards made of Ikea catalogue,  you'll notice that I like to use paper doily, doiley or doilie as embellishment. Since then I've been creating with doily (I decided to just spell as d-o-i-l-y). Why not? They are so pretty and delicate.

I first started with this wedding invitation.

When Ikea Gives You Catalogue...

.. MAKE CARDS =D

Christmas is near and your mailbox is stuffed with all sorts of promotion brochure/ catalogue. Are you planing to throw them away? You might want to keep one or two if not all, in case you need a nice thank you card after your great holiday stay at relatives'/ friends' house or received some very thoughtful gifts during the holiday.

I am a Paper Addict

Hi, my name is Huey. I am a Paper Addict. It started when I was a school kid. I first collected pretty pictures on the newspaper and magazine, cut them and pasted them into my scrap books, which were made of annual report with boring financial charts and.. reports.

Today, although I no longer cut pictures from newspapers, I'm still unable to resist beautiful images from magazine, calendars, flyers, brochures.. Any printed papers that come to my hands. The condition got worse the past few years when my collection expanded to scrapbooking pattern paper, wrapping paper, used security envelope, map, shopping bag, the list goes on.

Strange addiction, I know. What makes it worse is that it gives me joy and satisfaction seeing my collection grows everyday, even though it's cluttering up my space which is a big deal in Singapore where every inch of space worth a fortune. I actually bought 2 shelves from Ikea just to store them (>_<)"'

Used paper goods are my worst nightmare. I feel guilty to throw away ANY used security envelope, map, shopping bag, packaging... Anything at all, as long as they are clean, knowing that I can make them into something else.

Just a *tinny* tip of the iceberg.
